False Claims Against Christ

Some claim that science proves that the Bible is false and that negates all of Christianity?

Actually, just the opposite is the case.

Such claims are always based on some fallacy. Here is why. All fallacies resolve to some unsupported assertion or some smokescreen to hide the fact that the conclusion is based on some unsupported assertion. An assertion is a truth claim, a claim that something is true. If something is claimed to be true, it can either be shown to be true. Otherwise, asserting it is a lie. It is a lie because the claim is that it is true when it is not known to be true.

It has been known for at least 2,000 years that it is impossible to know anything without Divine revelation. Agrippa, the skeptic, addressed this in his trilemma. In the 1700s, Baron Münchhausen again brought it to the forefront. And then, Hans Albert wrote about it in the early 1900s. For this reason, the trilemma is alternately called Agrippa's Trilemma, the Münchhausen Trilemma, or Albert's Trilemma. No philosopher has been able to find a way around it, though many have tried with the most irrational reasoning.

As it works out, Secular conclusions must be based on infinite regression, circular reasoning, or bare assertions without any evidence. The fact is that infinite regression and circular reasoning are two smokescreens to hind the fact that the thinking is based on bare assertions without any evidence. Bare assertions are unsupported assertions.

Whenever false science is the prevailing dogma, the ruling body of scientists use the government to fight real science. This is what actually happened to Galileo when he discovered a politically incorrect bit of science. The ruling body of science used the government of that day to coerce Galileo.

The same thing happens today. Research is destroyed if it backs certain politically incorrect biblical facts. Funding is pulled from those scientists who dare to state what they have observed. Papers are carefully censored by scientific journals. Many scientists hide their discoveries for fear or retribution.

Papers on anti-biblical themes such as evolution are becoming increasingly loopy in their defense of these odd dogmas. They fly in the face of the facts and distort logic to the point of insanity. Every conjecture, that is, fabrication, is called "science" so long as it supports the desired dogma of the power players. A web site, creationsafaris.com, is a very good source for detail on this tendency. And it's hard to fault the evolutionists for falsifying their data. Who wants their career ruined simply because they made a scientific discovery?

When observations contradict evolutionary theory, the presupposition continues without a hitch. This is also true of other anti-Bible theories. Faith does not go by observation but by the Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. The Word is the evidence. Rationalism does not go by observation but by the word that proceeds out of the human mind. Do you see the contrast between faith and rationalism?

In These Last Times There Shall Be Scoffers. They Will Scoff At Truth.

There are many who have been honest enough to admit that evolution is scientifically impossible. Yet, they cannot stand the idea of an almighty, just, holy, loving God. For this reason, they would rather believe a lie than the obvious truth. This is also true of those who try to find some error in the Bible. No honest person who does any amount of research will ever say that they have found an error in the Bible.

The worshippers of the human are always scoffing at the idea that anyone would believe the Bible. They put their faith in what they call science.

The science in which they believe is constantly being shown to be false. It isn't really true knowledge at all. They see that as a great asset, since it can always move, however reluctantly, when it is shown to be false.

They see the Bible as having the problem that it cannot move. It is set. Yet the Bible has never been shown to be false in any point, so it has never had to move.

If a science textbook is written, it will have to be replaced fairly soon, yet no one can replace the Bible.

Then, amazingly, the people who scoff at the Bible will state that their unproven whims and made up stories ARE science and that these unproven whims and made up stories prove the Bible to be false. Yet, in a couple of years, their made up stories and unproven whims are proven to be false. And, by that time, they have another set of unproven whims and made up stories that they are claiming to be science.

What is amazing about this is that the people who scoff at the Bible are not embarrassed.

Even more amazing is the fact that some Christians take these people seriously.

"In the last times there shall be scoffers, obeying only their own ungodly passions." Jude 1:18

Is Christianity Exclusivist?

Jesus and the Father have made very exclusive claims as these Scriptures show. If God is the almighty, all knowing, omniscient and only triune God, then those claims make perfect sense. They are simply a statement of fact.

John 3:18 He that believeth on him [Jesus] is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

John 14:6 Jesus saith to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father, but by me.

Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Won't really good people who don't believe in Jesus find life and peace of God?

Consider the most important commandment, which you have not kept.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

God gave the Way at great personal sacrifice to Himself.

Rejection of God's mercy is the most unintelligent choice any person could possibly make.

To deny that God exists so that one could pursue rebellion against God is often a foolish way to try to justify such an unintelligent choice. For a person to deny that he or she is in need of a Savior or is too good to need forgiveness, this is arrogance. Some people think that they are pretty good, but is God convinced?

Aren't most people basically good?

Many Scriptures warn us not to trust the human mind, but some people still do and reap a curse.

... and that ye seek not after your own mind and your own ability to observe, with which you used to commit fornication (indicates idolatry, and that is exactly what it is): Numbers 15:39

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Psalm 53:1

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Jeremiah 17:9

But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 2:14

Do you worship God or the human mind. Modern science proves that people cannot really be objective. They cannot help the fact that they filter out elements of reality and don't really perceive things as they are.

The worshippers of the human are always scoffing at the idea that anyone would believe the Bible. They, on the other hand, believe that truth is whatever they prefer to believe.

What if I don't want Jesus but just live to please God?

God provided a way of salvation, and He is looking for those who will accept it. He is looking for those who will not reject Him. Those who reject God's salvation are rejecting a wonderful gift. They are exhibiting the ultimate in rebellion against God. There is no way to sugar-coat this situation. Those who reject Jesus are rejecting God and are condemned already.

If you reject Jesus, you are rejecting God.

I'm a good person. Does that count for anything?

Everybody has sinned. You need to understand that sin is failing to attain to the glory of God. Are you claiming to have attained to the glory of God?

Have you ever lied? Have you every had an unclean thought? Have you ever cheated or been angry? Have you ever hurt anyone?

Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

• You owe a debt you can't pay.
• Jesus paid it. Accept it. The alternative is to find out that you have missed out on having your debt paid simply by not receiving Jesus and repenting of your sins.
• You know, by the Spirit of God, that accepting Jesus will:
  • pardon you and
  • free you from your sin.
• Only those who love their sin more than they love Jesus will reject His free offer.

By the way, everyone says, "I am a good person."

The resurrection of Christ seems impossible to unbelievers?

Given the evidence, the resurrection is an irrefutable historical fact.

There are some who are open to Christ. Others desire to find a way to reject Christ and have closed minds. This challenge is often presented by those with closed minds. Some people may ask such a question because they have received some false information or they are just uninformed and have never checked it out.

The fact is that those who desire to reject Christ will reject the resurrection, even though the facts are obvious. They reject Christ for one reason: they love darkness rather than light. God is Light and in Him is no darkness at all.

Jesus claimed to be the Son of God. In fact, He was accused of blasphemy for this claim.

Everyone in the ancient world agreed that the tomb was empty on the first Easter morning, but the enemies of Christ claimed that the disciples had stolen the body, but this was not believable since the disciples lacked both motive and or ability to overcome the guards.

Over 500 eye-witnesses attested to his resurrection. Jesus appeared to them.

Ancient records of Jesus go back so early that they cannot be the product of legends. They were checkable at the time they were written and being evaluated.

The disciples were willing to die for what they knew to be true: the Christ had risen. If they were lying, they would not be willing to die for a lie.

Given those evidences, the resurrection is an irrefutable historical fact.

Without The Bible, Is There Really Any Evidence For The God Of The Bible?

Without the telling of made-up stories, is there really any evidence for evolution or any of the other anti-God suppositions that are out there? No.

Without the Bible, God still exists. He is obvious. Nothing creates itself. Complexity does not just happen by chance anywhere. Even something as simple as a skyscraper does not build itself. If someone claimed that Pyramids were formed by natural processes without anyone designing and building them, that person would be considered insane. Why? Because that sort of thing doesn't happen. Some people claim that the microscopic complexity of a single celled organism just fell into place one day. These people are having trouble dealing with reality. They are, in fact, insane.

The Almighty God loves His people and desires to communicate with them in a very intimate way. Since He is Almighty, He is very capable of communicating, and He does. It was a very small thing for Him to speak to the prophets. It was very light work for Him to preserve the original text intact from generation to generation. The historical record of this is very clear, and those who make up stories about how the Bible (in their fantasies) was not preserved are either lying on purpose or simply ignorant. Possibly both. God is very capable of speaking to anyone who seeks Him. He does this through many means, the Bible being one of them.

The reality is that those who reject God do so because they reject God. They don't want to have God ruling over them. It is not the exercise of a high intellect. It is the work of a fool. The fool said in his heart, "There is no God."

Why can't I just do things in my own way and live a good life as I think best?

Are you separated from God by iniquity? Any sin or rebellion cuts us off from God. Iniquity is the desire to do your own thing.

Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities [Iniquity is the desire to do your own thing.] have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

You can see that, without Jesus, you must be separated from God. God wants fellowship with you, but He will not force Himself on you. If you love your sin more than you love God, then you will reject Jesus.

You need to understand that sinis falling short of the glory of God.

1. Are you claiming to have attained to the glory of God? How would anyone do that without God?
2. And how could anyone approach the Holy God unless God made that person holy?
3. God has one way to make a person holy: Jesus Christ. That is simply reality.

What is wrong with being separated from God? Why should I care?

Mankind Was Never Designed To Function Without God

• Man, being spirit, soul, and body, was meant to be joined to God, but our rebellion has separated us from God. (Isaiah 59:2)
• Scripturally, the soul includes the intellect, mind, heart, and will.
• Our souls were meant to be in submission to our spirits, and our bodies are meant to be in submission to our souls. (2 Corinthians 3:18)
