| Speculation is NOT Truth |

Absolute Claims About Theological Speculations--that's Just Wrong. Some Christians make absolute claims regarding their own speculative doctrines. Many end-times doctrines are speculative. The same is true of baptism, communion, sin, the law, the gospel, church order, the Spirit of God, the nature of God, salvation, tongues, head coverings, laying on of hands, and many other things. Pray that God gives a heart to hear His voice when we read the Scripture and give discernment to know the difference between the voice of God and our own rambling minds. Almost everywhere where denominations exist between Christians, you will find speculative doctrines dividing them. It's very easy for the natural mind of Christians to read these things in Scripture and then fill in the blanks from the human mind's speculation. Then, Christians say things that God never said. Human reason mixed with the Bible is simply speculation dressed up in religious clothes. Jeremiah 23:16 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not to the words of the prophets that prophesy to you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.Psa 131:1-2 LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me. Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child. On the other hand, relativists and humanists also engage in speculative theology. In fact, almost all relativistic and humanistic doctrines depend on speculation. Evolutionism, human goodness doctrines, the global warming hoax, the hole in the ozone layer hoax, socialism, and many other dogmas crumble if their speculative roots are exposed.
How can we know anything about anything? That’s the real question |
