Basics Of Buddhism

What is a cult?

Click here for the only sure way to avoid being deceived by a cult.

Basics of Buddhism:

Buddhists universally reject the God of the Bible and Jesus Christ as Savior from their sins.

Belief in nirvana.

Optional atheism or polytheism

Salvation through human-generated action using the 8-fold path.

Karma and rebirth

Emptiness

Meditation

Buddhists see the purpose of life as avoiding suffering and gaining “enlightenment.”

Buddhists believe that, if they can gain merit through self-effort, they may be able to end the cycle of rebirth or attain a better rebirth.

Basic Tenets of Biblical Christianity:

To compare Buddhism to Biblical Christianity, go here.

Pray for those who are in spiritual slavery to the cult, Buddhism.  Buddhists are not the enemies.  Buddhists are prisoners of the enemy.  Buddhists have been brought into captivity by believing a lie.

Buddhism is willingly ignorant of the lost condition of all human beings and the one Holy Creator God's great gift of giving His one and only way of salvation through acceptance of the atoning work of His one, unique Son, Jesus Christ.  As a result of this willing ignorance, followers of this religion miss all the benefits of holiness, righteousness, peace, glory, love, and joy that can only be found through Jesus.  The sad result of their rebellion against God is that those who follow this course choose hell rather than heaven.
