Basics Of Sikhism

What is a cult?
The only sure way to avoid being deceived.

Basics of Sikhism:

Sikhism misses the true God, our personal Father God who loves us but serves Sat Guru.

Sikhism doesn’t realize that Jesus is divine, Savior, or true God and true man.

Sikhism loses out on the true authority of the Bible and the leading of the Holy Spirit to unveil the interpretation of the Bible.  They also miss the authority of the biblical church order to safeguard revelation.  Instead, they follow other writings.

Sikhism doesn’t have the knowledge that humanity is lost and in need of the Savior, Jesus Christ.

Sikhism doesn’t understand that sin has separated us from the true God and that there is no way, other than through the salvation that God has provided through Jesus, that we can be reconciled to God.

Sikhism depends on human-generated righteousness.  It thinks that, through human effort, people can overcome the self, align life with will of God, and become a "saint soldier," fighting for good.  It thinks that repeating the name of Sat Guru can end supposed repeated reincarnations and join a person to Sat Guru.

Basic Tenets of Biblical Christianity:

To compare Sikhism to Biblical Christianity, go here.

Sikhism is willingly ignorant of the totally lost condition of all human beings, the inability of human beings to do good works, and the one Holy Creator God's great gift of giving His one and only way of salvation through acceptance of the atoning work of His one, unique Son, Jesus Christ.  As a result of this willing ignorance, followers of this religion miss all the benefits of holiness, righteousness, peace, glory, love, and joy that can only be found through Jesus.  The sad result of their rebellion against God is that those who follow this course choose hell rather than heaven.
