Most doctrine-based systems have many quotations from Scripture, but they often will add in interpretations from the human mind, and it is those interpretations that twist Scripture.

Some doctrine-based religion sticks with the strict letter of the Scripture in many areas, yet, the doctrine is dead because the doctrine has become the god instead of God.
