Eckankar’s Worldview Of Ethics, Values, And Morals

What is a cult?

The only sure way to avoid being deceived by a cult.

Eckankar’s Worldview of Ethics, Values, and Morals:

Eckankar makes the following claim: "Eckankar has an inner and outer living guide. He has made the journey into the heart of God but has returned to help us on our way home. This guide is the Mahanta, the Living ECK Master.  When you link up with him through membership in Eckankar, you can start to see wonderful changes in your state of consciousness. And your life becomes one of meaning. You will then experience the awesome miracle of real spiritual growth."

Eckankar says that, on the mental plane, is the source of ethics, moral teachings and philosophy

Eckankar has no restriction concerning abortion, divorce, sexual orientation, and a decision to terminate life, but considers these to be “personal matters.”  They do discourage the use of tobacco, alcohol and other drugs.  They have a tendency toward community service.  Eckankar teaches moral relativism.
