Emergent’s Worldview Of Humanity

What is a cult?

The only sure way to avoid being deceived by a cult.

Emergent’s Worldview of Humanity:

Emergent Church says that the mind of man is basically good.  Under Emergent Church, this view can be held at the same time that the opposite view is held by the same person.

Biblical Christianity’s Vision of Humanity:

The Bible says that the human mind is basically evil, sold into sin, and that the human mind needs to be renewed.  The Holy Spirit is the only one who can renew the Human mind.  No amount of self-effort can do it.  This transformation of the human mind is part of the atonement.  The atonement is not just the forgiveness of sin; it is the removal of sin from our lives.  To what extent can we walk into holiness?  Jesus said that, to those who believe, all things are possible.  All things are possible to those who believe.  God is not holding us back.  Our own unbelief is holding us back from appropriating the glory that Christ paid for on calvary.  We walk well beneath our privilege--the privilege that Jesus bought for us with His own precious blood.
