How can you recognize junk science and speculation cloaked as science?
Short Answer
Ungodliness teaches a form of logic that allows speculation, which is not valid. Evolution and other junk science depend on this false logic to fool people into thinking that their unsupported claims might have some value. There are many varied ways in which this is done, and some of the methods are difficult to detect, but they all violate true logic. True logic is simply a set of rules that we have noticed in the world around us. Speculation, if taken seriously, isn’t much different from lying.
Detailed Answer
Junk science may take all true measurements and put them into an unproven formula. If you don’t catch the fact that the formula is junk, you are fooled.
Junk science may take all true measurements except for one assumed value and put them into a proven formula. If you don’t catch the fact that the assumed value is junk, you are fooled.
Junk science may leave out a piece of information or add an junk piece of information and if you don’t catch it, you are fooled.
Junk science can take all real information and proven formulas but use a single piece of false logic, and, if you don’t catch it, you are fooled.
Most often, junk scientists simply dismisses all who disagree with them, just as junk politicians and junk news people do. They won’t even discuss the issue. And many are fooled. For a detailed understanding of the many tricks of junk science, see: http://www.creationontheweb.com
Most often, Junk Scientists simply presuppose their conclusions and if you don’t demand to see the proof and the complete thought process, you are fooled. This is very effective for them, because most people don’t check and are easily intimidated. If you can get down to the underlying data and thought process, you find junk science is the root of many worldly or liberal doctrines such as evolution, abortion, distortion of relationships that belong only in marriage between one man and one woman, global warming, enviro-insanity, etc.
Just because a thought pops into the head of an ungodly person does not make that thought true . . . no matter how much money that ungodly person has.
In government-run schools, the ungodly are teaching logic mixed with Rationalized speculation. This has led to a confused mindset for the graduates of this class. If you have taken classes in logic, but the concepts always seemed to be hard to grasp, think back. Was the professor slipping presuppositions like naturalism, materialism, or uniformitarianism into the class? Was the professor sneaking in presuppositions of Post Modernism, Modernism, or Chaos Theory? If so, you have been educated into ignorance and have some un-learning to do.
If wishing and presupposition could make it so, evolution would certainly be a reality. Human nature has a tendency to do something very strange with presuppositions. Theoretical assumptions ought to remain disposable, visible, "what if" statements. They have no basis . . . unless you consider "I made it up." to be good proof. Rational-lie-zed speculation claims that when you make something up, it is true. That's not right. You can see that made-up stories are not facts, can't you? "I made it up." is not proof of anything. The trouble is that the worldly liberal mind will read this and just keep making it up as they go along. They are undaunted in pursuing everything that is against God in spite of the fact that they know better. They are in denial of the reality of God. They are willingly ignorant.
Worldly liberals, however, are not the only ones who are susceptible to rationalistic and speculative thinking. We all fall into the trap sometimes. It's just that members of the New Age and Secular Humanist Religions have, as part of their doctrine, the idea that rational-lie-zed or spiritual-lie-zed speculation is valid. They think that it is as valid or more valid than observation. They think that it is as valid or more valid than revelation. But all of us fall into the trap of rational-lie-zed or spiritual-lie-zed speculation from time to time. We say, "What if such-and-such." and then forget that "such-and-such" was just a hypothesis. We forget to throw it away.
Over time, each person's assumptions vanish from consciousness, but remain in the subconscious. These thoughts--of which we are no longer aware--silently guide every conscious thought and filter every perception; they become the limits of each person's world. People tend to cling to these unsupported assumptions tenaciously, regardless of facts. They become the world in the person's own heart, sort of each person's own personal pretend and imaginary pseudo-reality. We all become very creative in finding ways of not facing reality. The trouble with the worldly liberal zealots is that they believe that this foolish pretend and imaginary pseudo-reality is real. Recently, the Governor of a State in the U.S., claimed that we each have to find "our own reality" and that his "reality" was that he was having an affair with another man. Well, this Governor's foolish pretend and imaginary pseudo-reality was in conflict with the fact that he had been harassing the other man and making advances for some period of time, but the other man was in no way interested.
Superior intelligence just seems to give people more ability to find creative ways to speculatively rationalize and hang on to their own presuppositions. Wisdom doesn't come with intelligence. Scientific theory and speculative logic both have the same fatal flaw: they begin with presuppositions which are merely unsupported assumptions.
Rom 8:7 because the carnal mind is enmity against God, for it is not subject to the Law of God, neither indeed can it be.
Summary
Evolutionists use speculation and call it logic. This is part of why they are on the wrong track.
Evolution isn't science.
