Islam’s Worldview of Authority:

 

Unlike the Christian view, the Qur’an (Koran) is Islam’s highest authority rather than the Bible. 

 

The Muslims also recognize the Bible as having authority, but because of the Islamic doctrine of deprecation, Moslems believe that many verses of the Bible (and of the Koran) no longer apply.  Those verses are considered to be deprecated and replaced by newer verses in the Koran.
