Islam’s Worldview of Humanity:
Humanity is seen in a totally different light in Islam as compared to Christianity. Islam sees humans as basically pure, but fallible and needing guidance. The Bible says that there is not a just man upon the earth who does good and does not sin and there is not one righteous man on the earth. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God according to the Bible, and the righteousness that we do is filthy.
Moslems recognize the creation of man and the universe but disagree with the biblical view of the result of the fall into sin.
They see mankind as having the ability to follow Allah’s will, attaining the highest plan of God without the salvation that is available through Christ. Christians believe what the Bible says: that no one can come to the Father except through Jesus and there is no other name given among men by which we must be saved.
Islam believes that human beings must give account of their conduct on the day of judgment, and don’t see Christ as dying to atone for their sins. They choose to stand on their own abilities and works before the Holy Creator God.
