Lawsuit Seeks To Block Prayer At Inauguration
(CNSNews.com) - Atheist Michael Newdow has filed a lawsuit in federal court in Washington, hoping to prevent prayers at President Bush's Jan. 20 inauguration. Newdow, the man who believes the phrase "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance is unconstitutional, believes that praying at the inauguration also is unconstitutional. Wire reports said the court is tentatively scheduled to take up his no-prayer-at-the-inauguration case on Jan. 14.
