Why does rationalized speculation, such as evolution, lead to violence and abuse?
How can we know anything about anything
To try to explain truth to him who loves it not is but to give him more plentiful material for misinterpretation. George Macdonald
Do we have to make a choice between science and the Bible?
NO!
That is NOT where the problem is, but that is what everyone seems to want to talk about.
Take science as an example.
How can we know anything about the created material world around us?
How can we know anything from what we can see using natural sciences?
We all see the same things in the material world,
but we don't come to the same answers.
Why is that?
How can we know anything about the Bible and what it teaches?
Every person believes different things about the Bible and how it should be read.
Why is that?
Same scientific facts. Different answers.
Same Bible. Different answers.
Why is that?
The true question is this: How do we come to our answers that we get
from what we can see through science
or what we can read in the Bible?
How do we think about what we see using science or what we read in the Bible?
How do we analyze what we have seen and read?
How do we interpret what we have seen and read?
We use logic, but logic always has a foundation. Jesus talked about building on the Rock.
That Rock is Jesus Christ. He is the true foundation.
There are also the false foundations of the ungodly.
An example might help.
Question: Why do you believe in evolution?
Answer: Because my science teacher told me that evolution is scientific fact.
Question: Why do you believe your science teacher?
Answer: because he agrees with the textbook he assigned us to read.
Now, we have asked, "Why?" twice.
If we continued to ask, "Why?" we would come down to the foundation of this person's thoughts.
When we get down to the foundations, there are no more questions that can be answered.
So where to the foundations come from?
There are three possibilities.
- things that we make up, pulled from the air
- demonic lies
- divine revelation
Question: Why do you believe in creation?
Answer: Because God revealed this to me. He spoke to me through the Bible and gave me His faith
so that I could believe Him.
See how quickly we got to the foundation.
This is a belief that has a foundation that is solid and that cannot be moved.
In reality, the things that we make up, that are pulled from the air,
are actually from demons and all the lies of demons spring from the prince of demons, Satan.
So these are one and the same.
Divine revelation comes from the Almighty, Creator, God, Jesus Christ.
So there are only two choices, but how do we know there are only two choices?
Because God has revealed this truth to us.
The question then is how do we tell the difference between the revelation that comes from God
and the lies of Satan?
The answer is that everyone who sincerely wants to do the will of God will know.
Jesus said, "If you really want to obey God, you will know if what I teach comes from God or from me"
The rejection of the revelation that comes from God is not an intellectual problem.
It is a moral problem.
Jesus said, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you:
For everyone who asks receives; and he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks it shall be opened."
*
Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children,
how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to those who ask him?
Matthew 7:7-11 *
You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.
You can set the truth before someone, but you can't make anyone believe
those things that they don't want to submit to.
They have to want to obey God.
How frequently it is brought to our attention that nothing good can be done if the will is wrong! Reason alone fails to justify itself. Richard M. Weaver
Jesus said, "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" (John 8:32)
"If we are not prepared to buy the truth at the cost of our own humbling we shall not receive it"
Lies appear to have no price upon them.
They seem cheap and they abound everywhere.
But for the truth there is always an obvious price to pay.
"[God] has set a day when He will judge all the world's people with fairness.
And He has chosen the man Jesus to do the judging for Him.
God has given proof of this to all of us by raising Jesus from death" (Acts 17:31).
"There is a judge for the one who rejects Me [Jesus] and does not accept My words;
that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day" (John 12:48)
That also stands for every person who speaks the utterances of Jesus.
When we hear them, we hear Jesus Christ, and we either accept or reject.
Every person who follows Jesus Christ is commanded to only speak His utterances and not their own.
"When we love others, we know that we belong to the truth, and we feel at ease in the presence of God" (1 John 3:19)
Ravi Zacharias did two open forums in a university.
On the second night, one man told him that he had brought two Atheists in the night before
who said that the arguments presented were so strong that they could not contend with them,
but they were going to remain Atheists because that is what they prefer to be true.
In another case of just listening to an unbeliever and drawing out his reasoning,
the unbeliever finally came to his foundations.
They turned out to be assumptions that were pulled from the air.
When asked why he believed his basic assumption,
the unbeliever looked startled and blurted out,
"I guess I'm making the whole thing up."
It was quite a revelation to him since he hadn't even known that he had any assumptions.
However, he decided to remain an Atheist because he didn't want God to rule over him.
Rationalism and Revelation
There is a conflict between human speculation and divine revelation. The speculators continually poke fun at those who are listening to the voice of God, and they claim that their made-up stories and speculations are more valid than revelation. Those who depend on speculation also accuse the followers of Christ of being violent when, in reality, violence has always proceeded from those who either rationalize or spiritualize speculation.
Detailed Answer
Evolutionists rely on a kind of revelation that they call, "Rationalism." When they say, "rationalism," they mean rationalized speculation, of course. For an evolutionist, rational thought consists of accepting certain made up stories. There is no basis for these stories other than they are the stories that proponents of New Age and Secularism prefer to believe. The gist of the stories may vary depending on the social climate and what the particular proponents of New Age and Secularism are trying to achieve.
This speculative rationalism has a long history of abuse and violence. Speculation that has been rationalized is still just speculation. Speculation that has been spiritualized is only speculation. Speculation leads to division and often to violence.
Those who depend on speculation also accuse the followers of Christ of being violent when, in reality, violence has always proceeded from those who either rationalize or spiritualize speculation. During the dark ages and inquisition, the speculatively rational-lies-ed stories had different content than the stories of today, yet the source was the same. The basis of the abuse of the inquisition was rational-lie-zed speculation. Of course, rational-lie-zed speculation is used today to distort the history of the inquisition into something other than what it really was. There were abuses, but there were not as many anti-God, anti-Christ, anti-Bible historians would have you believe. One thing is sure as long as human nature is as it is: There will always be abuses. Today, there are abuses everywhere. There are abuses by Christians, by pseudo-Christians, by Jews, and by Muslims. There are a disproportionate number of abuses by followers of New Age and Secularism. The root source of the abuses of today are human intellect, rational-lie-zed speculation, and human emotion being manifested in pride, malice, hate, lack of understanding, lack of wisdom, disorders, envy, unresolved conflict, etc. The human was the source of abuse then, just as it is now. While Christians may abuse these, no one will abuse them when following Christ.
It is not surprising that the perpetrators of violence try to blame the violence on those who are trying to follow the Prince of Peace. This is a pattern and it can be seen everywhere. Here is just one example. Hitler was a New Age religionist and a socialist. Anyone who knows anything about history knows that. Yet, New Age religionists and a socialists are always trying to put a Hitler label on anyone who doesn’t want to follow their New Age and Secularist agendas to promote Socialism. When we have a Christian president, rich New Age religionists and socialists are willing to spend millions to hatefully and libelously label that president as a "Hitler."
Another example is the human misery that is caused by evolution. Evolution is a huge rationalized speculation that continues to cause many problems and it has a history of causing pain and misery. The entire basis of the racial discrimination in the U.S. was based on evolution. They thought that the black race was not as fully evolved as the white race. When Margaret Sanger, in coordination with Adolph Hitler, started Planned Parenthood, she did it to eliminate what she called, "weeds." She was referring to black people whom Sanger and Hitler felt were not as evolved as whites. This effort by Sangor has turned into an industry that kills about 4,000 babies per day. Part of the rationalization that the Supreme Court used in Roe v. Wade that allows these murders was based on the defunct speculation of evolution.
In the days of slavery where Evolution was used as the rationalization to allow the abuse, it was said that black people were not persons. In the days of segregation, the same rationalization was used. Then, the black people got the right to vote, and the liberals flipped to giving special treatment as if the black people we not capable of making it on their own. In the process, they destroyed something in several generations of black people, which only the black people themselves will be able to rebuild. All of this happened because of the error introduced by the speculation called "evolution." Recently, an ungodly man who was running for a political office stated that he can understand that unborn babies are live humans, but he doesn’t believe they are persons. Notice the same type of rationalization of extreme evil that we saw from the New Agers regarding racism when there is only one race and only one skin color, brown, in various shades.
Evolution is logically tied to racism, but Christians who believe in racism are being illogical. So, we see that evolutionism and many other problematic views are based in rationalized speculation. The entire New Age movement is based in rationalized and spiritualized speculation.
On the other hand, the Bible is based on revelation. Sometimes, people try to understand the revealed Word through either rationalized speculation or spiritualized speculation, but the interpretation of Scripture requires revelation as well. God is well able to reveal. While we only know in part, God has revealed much of the meaning of His Word to His people.
Through hundreds or years of attack, the Bible has been shown to be error free. The way you prove something to be true is to try experiments that have the potential to disprove. If many repeatable experiments fail to disprove the hypothesis, then the hypothesis is said to be proven.
Nothing has been tested as the Bible has been tested. More people over a longer period of time have attacked the idea of the error-free Bible than have attacked any other idea. The Bible has stood up to more tests than the first and second laws of thermodynamics or the inverse square law of gravity. The Bible has been proven, beyond a doubt, to be error-free. No one anywhere at any time has found an error, and many have tried over thousands of years.
The people who try to poke holes in the Bible do so because they don't want to be subject to what the Bible says. They want to do what they want to do. They don't want to know that they must answer to Almighty God. Yet, they do know. They are just in denial. John 1, Romans 1
So, the Bible is the Word of God that God uses to lead us to Jesus Christ. We don’t worship the Bible, but we recognize that God speaks to us through the Bible.
Romans 8:7 because the carnal mind is enmity against God, for it is not subject to the Law of God, neither indeed can it be.
The solution is Jesus Christ. The Church needs to get away from rationalized speculation as a basis for doctrine. It needs to get back to the Scriptural order rather than one devised by rationalized speculation. It needs to get back to depending on the Holy Spirit. The Church needs to get back to Christ. When the Church does this, it will again be a powerful force for good. This is, indeed, happening among some followers of Christ throughout the world.
Yet, an evolutionist cannot tell the general public these facts. A follower of New Age or Secularism will try to make revelation seem like a silly idea. At the same time, followers of New Age or Secularism glorify rational-lie-zed speculation. Rational-lie-zed speculation and Revelation are always at odds. They never see eye to eye as the following poem illustrates:
Rationalism and revelation will never see eye to eye.
Revelation trusts in God,
Rationalism trusts lies.
Rationalism thinks the human mind is all the source.
That human minds can dream up truth.
That they are the ultimate force.
Revelation believes God's Word, unchallenged to this hour.
That God can yet reveal His truth.
That He is the ultimate power.
And rationalized theology and science can be shown
The source of every kind of pain,
And trouble the earth has known.
But God has never authored strife, disorder, curse or plague.
He is the source of all that's good.
His Light is never vague.
What God has made declares His power so anyone can see.
But as for those who make up facts?
They're blind as blind can be.

Federal Investigation Confirms Retaliation for Intelligent Design Article
For a biologist to be expertly trained in the theory of evolution is apparently not enough for some people. It's also necessary to agree with the politically correct science police that critical viewpoints must be silenced--completely. That's the only possible explanation for what happened to Richard Sternberg. He holds not one, but two Ph.D.'s in evolutionary biology, works for the National Institutes of Health, and in 2000 won a prestigious appointment as a research associate at the Smithsonian Institution. He also became editor of a scientific journal. In that role, he accepted for publication an article that spoke favorably of "intelligent design"--the belief that the complexity and diversity of life on earth cannot be explained by the operation of random processes alone.
The article passed "peer review," as scientific journal articles must--but the same cannot be said for Mr. Sternberg. An investigation by the federal Office of Special Counsel has confirmed that Sternberg was subjected to "retaliation... in many forms," including the spread of lies about him both within and outside the Smithsonian. In fact, Sternberg says that he was virtually driven out of the building, because "they could not guarantee me that they could keep order." To allow free debate over this controversy would appear to be both more tolerant and more scientific.

How perfectly the present day attitude of evolutionist scientists reflects the attitude of the "the-earth-is-the-center-of-the-universe" scientists of Galileo's day! Galileo had to contend with pseudo-scientists who used the government of that day to coerce Galileo because he didn't believe that the earth was the center of the universe. Sternberg has to contend with pseudo-scientists who use the government of the present day to coerce other scientists who don't believe the fallacy of evolutionism.
Summary
God can and does reveal despite the denials of the New Age and the Secular religion. When religious people, whether New Age, Humanists, Buddhists, Agnostics, Hindus, Atheists, Muslim, Jewish, or Christian, lean on their own understanding rather than revelation from God, it tends to lead to violence. Evolution isn't science, and neither are many of the ideas put forward by the liberals, including much that is called social science, psychology, ecology, and political science. Science can learn from experience and observation, a concept that seems to be out of the grasp of liberals.

The Church, the Body of Christ, and discernment of this Body, is the method that God is using to finish the work in His Body.
The Body of Christ, God's Temple, is built up by that which every joint supplies, building each other up in love,
and the Temple must be built according to the pattern of Scripture.

- The 5 apostolic ministries (Ephesians 4:11)
- The nine gifts of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:8-10)
- Local congregations overseen by elders and deacons (Titus 1:5)
- Every member having and being a ministry in the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:11)
