Secularism’s Worldview of a supreme being:
Secularism does one or more of the following:
- denies that God exists
- claims that God cannot be known
- claims that God is not a factor in life
- claims that God is silent
- claims that God isn't powerful
- seeks to live a life without God
- makes humanity into a god
- makes government into a god
- makes intellect into a god
The supreme being, to Secularists is humanity or else the government or society. Each person becomes his or her own god or the government becomes God. There is a tendency, in Secular writings, to deify things like evolution, natural selection, nature, the universe, science, etc. |
