Why can't the flesh be part of the spiritual experience?

The Flesh Cannot Have Any Part In Revelation Simply Because It Will Not.  The flesh just cannot be reconciled to the Spirit of God.  It cannot be reformed or improved.

The  flesh, has not yet been redeemed. Romans 8:23, Galatians 5:17 The Bible talks about the coming day of redemption for the body of flesh, but the flesh is presently in bondage to Satan.

The spirit is freed and in communion with the Holy Spirit.

The mind can be directed toward the flesh or toward the spirit and God.

Keep in mind that none of this is true for the poor unbeliever, because the unbeliever is in bondage with body, mind, and spirit. Only Jesus can set a person free from such a bondage. The unbeliever continues in either self-righteousness or else self-condemnation, but is forced to obey Satan who is his or her rightful father and head.  Pray for every unbeliever you meet.  Pray that they be set free, that they are delivered from the bondage to their own thoughts, passions, and desires.  Pray that they come to saving belief in Jesus Christ.

Satan tries to get at the believer through the flesh. Satan uses things like sensual pleasure, entertainment, anger, malice, and greed to regain control of the believer.

The Holy Spirit of God speaks to the believer through the spirit of the believer. The Spirit uses the conscience, agape love, joy, peace, and patience to draw the believer closer to God.

The believer has the choice to be fleshly minded or spiritually minded. To be fleshly minded is death. To be spiritually minded is life.

If you seek God, you will find Him through His Son, Jesus.

Revelations 22:19 And if anyone takes away from the Words of the Book of this prophecy, God will take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which have been written in this Book.

John 10:35b the Scripture cannot be broken,

Human theology and reasoning is not necessarily correct, but the Bible is. The Bible can only be understood by revelation, and revelation is given by the Spirit of God. God does reveal in His own way. But we only know in part. If we think we know any thing, we do not know it as we ought. We are instructed, by God, to keep seeking Him. The Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth. The truth sets us free. Lies bind us. Whoever seeks Jesus does find Him. Jesus is the truth.

We believe the Holy Scriptures teach:
  • The 5 apostolic ministries (Ephesians 4:11)
  • The nine gifts of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:8-10)
  • Local congregations overseen by elders and deacons (Titus 1:5)
  • Every member having and being a ministry in the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:11)
  • Being led by the Spirit of God (Romans 8:14)
  • The gathering together of the Body of Christ (Genesis 49:10, John 17:21)
