You are a member in particular in Christ's Body, the Body of Christ.  God is changing you little by little by leading you and anointing you with His Holy Spirit.  As you yield, you are changed from glory to glory to fit into this Body.   You are already in Christ, in His Body, but He is doing a continual work in you.  That work is done by what every joint supplies so the Body builds itself up in love as each member yields to the Holy Spirit and obeys.  The joint is the place between the members.  That is where the Holy Spirit flows as we build each other up in Christ.  (Ephesians 4)  Obedience is actually Jesus Christ doing His work through you.  It is not you doing the work.  Your part is to yield. 

The Bible is very clear that the Body of Christ is Christ and the Jesus, the Head in heaven is Christ.  The Body of Christ has nothing to do with the fleshly nature but it has to do with the Christ in you.  The Bible calls the "Christ in you" your gift and your ministry.

The Church is Christ's Body and not to be taken lightly or perverted into something that is not like the pattern of Scripture.  The Church is not a club or an organization.  It is a living organism, the Body of Christ.  This is one of the reasons that it is so important to God that He restore order to the Church as He has given us the pattern in Scripture. 

The Church is the Kingdom of God manifested on Earth, even in the Church's present immature state.  The Church was not created to be a recruiting and money-generating machine.  God is asking every Christian to remove those things that will not go into the Kingdom. 

A remnant will be faithful and take part in what the Bible calls the first resurrection.  They will rule and reign in the Kingdom of the Heavens, but who will they be ruling over?  Why will they need to rule with a rod of iron? We will learn the answers to all these questions as God unfolds His revelation.

1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain to the coming (abiding presence READ MORE) of the Lord shall not prevent (in today's English, this means to precede or go before) them which are asleep (dead). (16) For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  (17) Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up (this is the word that, in the Latin Vulgate, is something like rapture READ MORE) together with them in the clouds (clouds are more often used to describe great numbers of angels or people rather than atmospheric clouds), to meet the Lord in the air (the lower and denser air as distinguished from the higher and rarer air--probably a reference to the spiritual realm where Satan now works His evil work READ MORE): and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
