Children are...
Gifts from God,
treasure them and thank God for them.
Becoming adults,
show them how to know God's will.
Learning to pray,
teach them to depend on God.
Potential vessels of childlike in faith,
allow their faith in God.
Created in the image of God,
honor them and teach them to honor.
Energetic,
nourish and direct their energy to good.
Fallible--just as you are,
forgive and guide them.
Growing mentally,
read the Bible to them and talk about it with them.
Growing spiritually,
encourage them and be an example to them.
Susceptible to deception,
keep them from those who would lead them to evil.
Exploitable,
protect them from those who would corrupt them.
Forming their life-habits,
teach them and worship with them constantly each day.
Innocent,
discover Jesus with them.
Assailable,
teach them how to make righteous decisions.
Joyful,
rejoice and praise God with them.
Potential bearers of Spirit Fruit,
bless them with grace and edify them.
Lovable,
cherish them with the love of Christ.
Love sponges,
be God's love to them and teach them to love.
Breakable,
correct gently, encourage, instruct in righteousness.
Susceptible to discouragement,
always correct in love stressing their worth.
Open to being noble,
help them learn to be led by Christ's Spirit.
Open minded,
reveal God's love and power to them.
Questioners,
show them God's ways in everything.
Resourceful,
help them have their own experience with Christ.
Spontaneous,
enjoy them and engage them.
Talented,
teach them to give glory to God.
Unique,
affirm that they are set by God's purpose.
Vulnerable,
protect them from lies, anger, immorality, and harm.
