Deuteronomy 11:19 And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

This is not a command to teach math skills, but it is the command to teach your children to know God.

This is a command to parents who already have the will of God emblazoned on their minds and deep within their beings, and also in the way we use their hands and eyes.  Here, these parents are told to teach their children all the time.  The way they run their house should reflect the glory of the Lord.  This is not the picture of someone with a wishy-washy walk with God.

There will be great sadness for those who try to walk the middle road.  Children of these parents will not be able to stand.
