v7 Rabbits Chew Cud

Deuteronomy 14:7 Nevertheless these you shall not eat of those who eat that which is brought forth again, or of those who divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the rock badger: for they eat that which is brought forth again, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean to you.

The King James version uses the term, "chews the cud," which may give the wrong impression if we think of the way that this term is used in the present day. The rabbit does chew the cud but not in the same way as a cow chews the cud. You can read more about this here: Supposed Contradictions: Do Rabbits Really "Chew the Cud"?.
