The Second Law of Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer
Some Evolutionists make the error of saying the the Second Law of Thermodynamics applies only to heat transfer. They will find some definition of the Second Law of Thermodynamics that seems to imply this, and they will declare it as if there were some truth to it.
"The Law was first discovered and quantified in the field of energy transfer, or thermodynamics, but its corollaries have now been recognized in "every" field, including information theory. Truly it is a universal law, which applies to every situation." https://www.icr.org/article/barrier-evolution/
The Second Law of Thermodynamics is the Law of Entropy. Entropy is a measure of the state of randomness or disorder in a system. The total amount of energy remains the same, but the useable energy decreases. This is shown by things becoming less orderly over time. This increase in disorder is known as an increase in entropy. There is no exception.
Entropy is what happens when wood burns.
Entropy is what happens when crystals form, though they appear more ordered, there is less energy available.
Entropy is what happens when a rock rolls down a hill. Energy is lost.
Entropy is what happens when the sun shines on your new car and ruins the paint job.
Entropy is what happens when steel rusts and clothes wear out and people get old and die.
Entropy applies to information. Entropy is what happens when your recording won't play anymore because you dropped your player. Entropy is what happens when you lose your file and all the information that was in it. Entropy is what happens when a gene is damaged and mutates and a birth defect occurs because of the lost information. Evolutionists can show no example where information has been added to anything by random processes.
Entropy is universal in the physical realm. All that we can know from scientific method shows this to be true. Why do Evolutionists say that the Second Law of Thermodynamics applies only to heat transfer? Because they are desperate.
