Ezekiel 2:2 And the spirit entered into me when he spake to me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake to me. Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them
God does speak. He speaks to us today in many ways. There are some who say that God does not communicate to us. Some of these people say that God used to speak, but deny that the Scriptures that tells us that God speaks are still valid. Many of these people still say that they believe that the Bible is the infallible word of God, yet they do not believe it to apply to us today. (some caveats about hearing God's Voice)
