A good idea that is shared with others will live forever. A person is not rewarded for having brains, but only for using them. A rabbit's foot is a poor substitute for horse sense. A wise man is one who learns from everyone. An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest. Anyone who is too old to learn was probably always too old to learn. Best place for the knocker is right outside the door. Even the richest soil, if uncultivated, produces only weeds. Every day is Judgment Day. Use a lot of it. Lack of good reason for doing a thing is a good reason for not doing it. Looking at the bright side of things will never impair your eyesight. Luck has a peculiar habit of favoring those who don't depend on it. Many a failure never gets his head above water because he never sticks his neck out. Many have a good aim, but they fail to pull the trigger. Minds, like parachutes, work only when they are open. Most people resist change--but without it, progress is impossible. Much talent is wasted for want of a little courage One person cannot hold another person down without stooping. People who wait for their ship to come in usually find it a hardship. Self-confidence is essential to great undertakings. Small deeds done are better than great deeds planned. Some men never change their opinion because it's been in the family for generations. Some people get their exercise by jumping to conclusions. Some people stand for nothing because they fall for everything. Sometimes problems are more elusive than solutions. Success comes in cans. Failure comes in can'ts. Success is never final and failure is never fatal. Success is often just an idea anyway. The best proof of wisdom is the result. The greatest undeveloped territory in the world lies under your hat. The man who believes is the man who achieves. The road to success is almost always under construction. Those who can, do. Those who can't, criticize. Well-conceived plans are a big step towards a job well done. You don't know what you can do till you try.
