| v 10-12 Which Spirit |

James 3:10-12 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh. The carnal mind cannot do right. When we try to reform the carnal mind, we soon learn that it can't be reformed. If we have received Christ, we have Christ living in their hearts. The Christ who is born in us and lives in our hearts cannot sin. (1 Jn. 3:4-11) We have a will. God won't force His will on us and Satan can't force his will on us. We can turn our attention to Jesus or to the carnal mind. To be spiritually minded is life. To be carnally minded is death. We are in a time of moving from immaturity to maturity, and during this time, we are sometimes tempted when we are drawn away by our own desires, the desires of our carnal mind. God asks us to receive His righteousness so that He can do His will through us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
How can we know anything about anything? That’s the real question |
