God speaks and a spiritual substance of things hoped for comes, to which we can respond by yielding, making faith alive, or resisting, making faith dead. When we yield, the power of grace is able to do the works of God in us. Anything that doesn't happen in this way falls short of the glory of God. Righteousness is by grace through faith.

We must worship God in spirit and in truth. When we are saved, our spirits experience a wonderful transformation from death to life and are joined in unity with the Holy Spirit. We are literally seated in the heavenly places, the aer, with Christ. With our minds, we can follow the spirit or the flesh. To follow the flesh is death. To follow the spirit is life. The Holy Spirit ministers to us through our spirits, and the battle is for the mind. We can be conformed to this world or we can be transformed by the renewing of our minds. We can allow the Holy Spirit to renew our minds to cause our minds to be made new from glory to glory through obedience to the Spirit.

All wisdom, knowledge, and understanding comes from God. When we yield to the Holy Spirit, we begin to have access to that wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.
