1 And He entered into the synagogue again, and there was a man there who had a shriveled hand. 2 And Parisees watched Him, to see whether He would heal him on the Sabbath Day so that they could accuse Him. 3 And He said to the man who had the shriveled hand, Stand and come here. 4 And He asked them, "Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath Days or to do evil, to save life or to kill?" But they kept silence. 5 And when He had looked around at them with agitation of mind, being saddened for the hardness of their innermost minds, He said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored well as the other. 6 And the Pharisees went out and immediately plotted with the Herodians against Him, how they might kill Him. 7 But Jesus went to the sea with His disciples, and a great multitude followed Him from Galilee and from Judea, 8 And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and those around Tyre and Sidon; when they had heard how many great things He did, this great crowd came to Him. 9 And He said, to His disciples, that a small ship should wait for Him because of the multitude, in case they should press in on Him. 10 For He had healed many, so that whoever had plagues pressed toward Him to touch Him. 11 And unclean spirits, when they saw Him, fell down before Him and cried out, saying, "You are the Son of God." 12 And He sternly commanded them that they should not make Him known. 13 And He went up into a mountain, and called to Him the ones He chose, and they came to Him. 14 And He appointed twelve, that they should be with Him, and that He might send them out to proclaim with authority, 15 and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out devils. 16 And Simon (whom He named Peter), 17 and James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James (and he named them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder), 18 and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James (the son of Alphaeus), and Thaddaeus, and Simon (the Canaanite), 19 and Judas Iscariot (who also betrayed Him), and they went into a house. 20 And the crowd came together again, so that they couldn't even eat food. 21 And when His friends heard of it, they went out to restrain Him, for they said, "He is beside Himself." 22 And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, "He has Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casts He out devils.' 23 And He called them to Him and said to them in parables, "How can Satan cast out Satan? 24 And if a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26 And if Satan rise up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand, but has come to his end. 27 No one can enter into a strong man's house, and take his goods unless he first binds the strong man, and then he will loot his house. 28 Truly I say to you that all sins and blasphemies with which they shall ever blaspheme shall be forgiven to the sons of men, 29 But whoever shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost does not have pardon and release from bondage in the Kingdom Age, but is in danger of Age-lasting separation." 30 He said this because they said, "He has an unclean spirit." 31 Then his brothers and his mother came, and, standing outside, sent a message to Him, calling Him. 32 And the multitude sat around Him, and they said to Him, Your mother and Your brothers are outside looking for You. 33 And He answered them, saying, "Who is My mother or My brothers?" 34 And he looked in a circle at those who sat around Him, and said, "See My mother and My brothers! 35 For whoever shall do the will of God, the same is My brother, and My sister, and mother."
