Some theistic evolutionists take the position that God had a different type of day before the Sun was created than He did after the Sun was created. They claimed that, before the Sun was created, the days were billions of years long. Reading the text, no one would get the idea that the first three days were long days. Where did they get that idea? Speculation. They made it up. In addition, Exodus 20:11 says, For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is...' Would any sane person assume that the first three days were probably billions of years long? No. Yet these Christians are dogmatic about it. Why be so dogmatic about something they made up? The answer to that question brings up the second problem: standing in the counsel of the ungodly. They become dogmatic about their speculation because they have been listening to the lies of the ungodly.
How can we know anything about anything? That’s the real question |
