21 For when, in the wisdom of God, the world didn't know God by means of wisdom, it pleased God, by the foolishness of proclamation, to save those who believe.

Note that this proclamation is actually Christ speaking through His people. He proclaims. He utters His voice. Faith comes by hearing and hearing comes by the utterance of God. When someone speaks by the Spirit of Christ, they are proclaiming Christ, not just speaking about Him. The presence of Christ is very real in the very words spoken. The ministry that you, as a born-again Christian have is Christ in you, the Anointing of the Holy Spirit on you, and the part of your being that has been changed into the likeness of Christ.  Your ministry is not your fleshly nature.  In a sense, your flesly nature is no longer the real you.  Your fleshly nature is that part of your soul, heart, mind that is still under the control of your body.  Your body is not yet redeemed  back to God but under the control of Satan and his forces.  Your ministry is that part of your being that has been redeemed.  Your spirit has been redeemed and joined to the Holy Spirit and part of your soul, heart, mind is now working properly under the authority of your spirit and the Holy Spirit.  This is your ministry.  Your flesh fights your ministry.  Your flesh and your ministry cannot be mixed. They are at war with each other  Your ministry is a part of Christ the Body.  The office of the apostle or local elder or deacon or father or mother in the home are also Christ the Body.  If a person cannot submit to Christ's authority as it is revealed in His Church, that person cannot submit to Christ the Head in Heaven:

• 2 Corinthians 4:1-2 "Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God."
• Romans 7:15-25 " For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent to the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin."

Apostles are given the responsibility of protecting the entire flock of God from the attack of the enemy, but with so many voices in the world, each one claiming to be the one that should be listened to, how can you know? You are responsible to be close enough to God so that you can tell the difference between false apostles and real apostles.
