Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed [literally, Transfigured] by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Note that this is written to Christians)

Note that the word, repent, means to have literally a new mind.

Numbers 15:39 . . . and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:

Rom 8:7  because the carnal mind is enmity against God, for it is not subject to the Law of God, neither indeed can it be.
