Potentate


Potentate means a mighty prince of great authority

1) a prince, a potentate
2) a courtier, high officer, royal minister of great authority

The Greek word, dunastes, is used three times.

Lu 1:52  He hath put down the mighty <1413> from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.
Ac 8:27  And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority <1413> under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,
