Rationalism uses the most divisive element in all of Christianity, which is the human imagination. When the Bible is read and interpreted in the darkness of spiritualized supposition, any doctrine can be made to seem to be reasonable.  People can rationalize or spiritualize anything.  Keep in mind that the abuses of the dark ages were not from the Bible but from the human imagination and these abuses were not biblical.

If the Holy Spirit is revealing, there is unity.  God doesn’t argue with Himself.  God is not confused.
