Only Jehovah give thee wisdom and understanding, and give you a command concerning Israel, that you may keep the law of Jehovah your God.
James tells us that every good and every perfect gift comes from above and that wisdom is received by praying for it. It also says that NOT asking with a proper attitude will result in NOT having wisdom. Proverbs 14:6a says: A scorner seeks wisdom, and finds it not. The ungodly teach that knowledge leads to understanding and experience leads to wisdom, and that may be true of ungodly knowledge, understanding, and wisdom, but it is different with true wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. True wisdom comes from God and leads to understanding, then (Proverbs 14:6b) knowledge is easy to him who understands.
