Pr 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

"must shew himself friendly" is an odd rendering. The Hebrew is 07489 ra'a' raw-ah'

This would seem to indicate that what God really has in mind is the problem of being friends with everyone. The Scripture is clear that we are to love everyone, even our enemies. 1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be misled: "Bad company corrupts good character." NIV You have to be careful who you make friends with, but you ought to get along with everyone.

Luke 6:26 Woe to you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

Proverbs 22:24 Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go:
