Proverbs 3:5-8 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not to thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

The human mind was designed and built to be filled with the Spirit of God. It does not work properly unless it is working in submission to the Spirit of God.
