They think that whatever level of experience they currently hold with Christ, they have the fulness of what is available or very near to it.

 

They often see Jesus as distant or theoretical.  They are not walking from glory to glory in Jesus and from faith to faith in Him.

 

They think that once they are born again, that's it.  They don't realize that there is more and that they are missing out.

 

Christian entertainments may have lulled them into sleep or perhaps some skilled orator who is able to keep them intellectually stimulated.
