Scapegoating

Blame a Scapegoat / Scapegoating / Framing / Blame A Non-Factor / the Blame Game

Scapegoating is one of the many smokescreens that are used to cover the fact that the reasoning is based on one of the three fallacies of Agrippa's trilemma. Whenever a logical fallacy is committed, the fallacy has its roots in Agrippa's trilemma. All human thought (without Divine revelation) is based on one of three unhappy possibilities. These three possibilities are infinite regress, circular reasoning, or axiomatic thinking. This problem is known as Agrippa's trilemma. Some have claimed that only logic and math can be known without Divine revelation; however, that is not true. There is no reason to trust either logic or math without Divine revelation. Science is also limited to the pragmatic because of the weakness on human reasoning, which is known as Agrippa's trilemma.

The Logical Fallacy of Blame a Scapegoat / Scapegoating / Framing / Blame A Non-Factor occurs when a person/organization/concept/factor is blamed for an error or problem that was not caused by the person/organization/concept/factor. Framing here is not to be confused with the framing fallacy. The framing fallacy has to do with asking the wrong question. Framing has to do with trying to place blame wrongly.

Examples of the The Logical Fallacy of Blame a Scapegoat / Scapegoating / Framing / Blame A Non-Factor / the Blame Game

U. S. President blamed for causing hurricanes

Compromising Christians blame Bible-believing Christians for the fact that some people reject the faith.

Some people blame God for their sin.

Adam: "The man said, 'The woman you put here with me--she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.'"

Eve: "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."

"The devil made me do it."
