Matthew 22:37 indicates that there are three parts to the inner person, the heart (inner thoughts and feelings), the soul (breath), and the mind (deep thought).
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said to him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
