New Age Wisdom Understood
New Age religions define wisdom as something that comes from what they define as your own "god-ness" (you are your own god), and also from familiar spirits (demons). They may call the demons spirit guides or guides. Sometimes they call them alien beings, gods, and other names. They have many methods of summoning these demons and allowing these demons to take control of themselves and others. These methods include yoga, autogenics, centering, guided imagery, meditation techniques, and focusing techniques. Sometimes, they will use seances or other occult practices.
