There Is Happiness Available That Is Lasting. |
There is joy unspeakable and unshakable. There is contentment that is real. But how can you get it? If you continue to think like you've always thought, you'll continue to get what you've always got. Is it enough? Money won't buy happiness. It's an old saying, but so true. Here is a lie: if you just had a little more, you would be happy. That is a common thought, and it always proves itself to be false. Have you been disappointed that when you finally met your goal, you didn't experience the long-term satisfaction for which you had hoped? If you have had that experience, you are not alone. That is the norm. For those who are striving for success, you should realize that if and when you do reach your goal, that goal will give you only temporary happiness. Your happiness will quickly fade. There are many other paths that lead only to false happiness, a happiness that fades away, a happiness that disappears in adversity. Those who love pleasure soon find that the end of their quest is very bitter. Those who love recognition learn to know that there is no lasting peace or fulfillment in it. Those who follow the endless other paths available, thinking that these paths will lead to true joy, peace and happiness are sadly disappointed. A recent study on happiness revealed the following interesting facts. People who have a sense of their purpose in life are happier than those who do not have a sense of their purpose in life. Of those happier people who have a sense of their purpose in life, there is a sub-group that is happier than the rest. This sub-group consists of people who have a sense of purpose but are also Christians. Of this subgroup of Christians, there is a smaller group that is even happier. This group consists of those who are Christian and evangelical, that is, believing in the sole authority and inerrancy of the Bible, in salvation only through regeneration by Christ's salvation, and in a spiritually transformed personal life. People who follow religions like Humanism, Atheism, Secularism, Agnosticism, Intellectualism, Hedonism, Hinduism, Shintoism, and the list could go on, will be less happy that evangelical Christians. Liberal Christians
By the way, evangelicalChristians are not a denomination or sect of Christians. They are just Christians who have become connected to Jesus and who realize a few things about that connection. And there are many organizations that are called Evangelical, even have it as part of their name, when they are not evangelical at all. What is the most important relationship?
