Baptized in Jesus Name

It is very important to know and understand that when the Bible speaks of His Name, it is speaking of His very Essence.  It is more than saying, "In the Name of Jesus," over someone.  It is the Spirit Who baptizes, not magic words.  In fact, we are to do everything in His Name.  That does not mean that when we pick up our socks that we are to say, "In the Name of Jesus, I pick up my socks."  Rather, it again relates back to that which God leads us to do opening the way for Grace to do the work and our part is to yield our members to His leading.  Yes, God leads us to have an orderly life with clothes put away.  When we allow Him to do the work through us, then even such mundane tasks are holy and they are done in His Name, since it is Him doing the work.  The same is true of baptism.  When the person being baptized and the person baptizing are doing it in submission to the Spirit of God, then baptism is possible.  They are doing the act in Jesus Name.
