What is real faith? What a question! The answer is simple, but it may be different from what you thought that faith was.

Real faith is a supernatural belief and trust that comes from God. It is not human faith. Human faith is fake--not real. Human faith is a rationalized faith. It is a self-generated faith. Real faith is the faith of God and it must come from God.

Romans 14:23 tells us simply that anything that is not of faith is sin. Faith comes from God. (James 1:17) Faith comes by hearing an utterance from God. (Romans 10:17) It is possible to read the Bible and not hear the word of God. (2 Corinthians 3:14)

Faith comes by hearing, that is hearing an utterance from God. God speaks. God speaks to every person either by a word, by a Christian, by the Bible, by nature, by a vision, by a dream, or by other means. He speaks to us to draw us to Jesus. When we receive His word, His leading, faith comes. When we reject His leading, no faith comes, we don't have faith. This is devastating because our only access to grace is through faith and grace is the only way to have righteousness, since it is grace alone that does good works in us. There are so many counterfeits that it would be impossible to sort out the real from the phoney unless God intervenes. Fortunately, God is very concerned about this issue. He wants us to have His faith. That is, He wants us to have the faith of God. He doesn't want us to have human faith. He wants us to have supernatural faith.

Hebrews 11:6 states that God rewards those who believe that He exists and seek Him. He rewards them with Himself. That is, those who seek Him find Him.

There is a relationship between faith and works that we need to know about. Works are only possible through grace, and faith is what opens the door to grace. Grace is the power and glory of God to do works.

Secularistic Cults Such As Atheism Or Agnosticism Have Their Own Type Of Faith--False Faith.

Evolutionism is based on one type of faith. It is based on the human type of faith--a make believe pseudo-faith, the human type of faith of the New Age, Secular Humanist Religion, and many other cults. Global warming is another precept taken on ungodly faith. Other examples include socialism, communism, Naturalism, materialism, feminism, and historical reconstructionism.

Many Christians try to approach God through pseudo-faith. There is a type of faith, though, that is far superior to make believe pseudo-faith.

In fact, the difference is as sharp between the two types of faith as the difference between light and darkness. This superior type of faith is actually a gift from God.
