The self image of the Self-Cult is quite different from Romans 12:3. God wants us to think of ourselves as the ministry, the living Christ, who lives within us. This is the Christ who cannot sin. This is the Christ who is willing to suffer.
The Self-Cult teaches a different kind of self image. It looks to the old Adam, the flesh, and sees that as "who I am."
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Romans 12:3
