| v 1-2 spiritual senses |
|
You can lose your spiritual senses. You can lose the ability to hear the voice of God. You can sear your conscience and wander around spiritually blind... even if you are a Christian. 1 Timothy 4:1-2 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; You will either dull the spiritual senses you were born again with or make them more sensitive to God through spiritual exercise. 1 Timothy 4:8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable to all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. The letter to the Hebrews says the same thing. There is spiritual exercise, and this type of exercise is always obedience to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit always leads the Christian into righteousness. Righteousness is always in agreement with the Holy Scripture. Hebrews 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
