Often, they see God as not wanting them to have constant fellowship with Him.    

They see a God who saved them through Christ, but then just wants them to "tread water" until they die and go to heaven.    

They are usually blind to the progressive way in which God would deal with His people.

There may be a Church that is meeting near you that is following the orders of Scripture.  If not, perhaps you would be better off starting a small prayer group in your home rather than going to a disorderly Church under a hireling pastor.  You can do this under the direction of the apostolic ministry.    Perhaps you may be able to start a Church that follows the pattern in the Scripture.
