At Ease Christians don't realize just how very high the high calling in Christ Jesus really is.
They are born again and think that's all there is.
They don't have a sense that there is a need to grow in Christ, or they may feel that they are fully mature. They don't realize what maturity is and that God has said, in Scripture, that we are to grow to the fullness of Christ and the removal of the veil of the flesh.
They are satisfied with an earthly existence and don't groan for the manifestation of the sons of God.
They are not yearning to grow to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4
Amos 6:1 Woe to them that are at ease in Zion
Revelation 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
God doesn't want luke warm, at ease Christians. God wants a living relationship with His children. He wants His people to turn their spirits, souls, and bodies over to Him. He wants His people to press toward the mark or their high calling in Christ Jesus.
Lukewarm Christians tend to be Christians in name only. They may go to church every week, read their Bible daily, pray daily, and be very religious. The feel like they are spiritually rich and they have arrived. What they don't realize is that they are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked.
