Are spirits, minds and bodies were never designed to operate separate from God. But our iniquity has separated us from Him. When we are born again, our spirits are again joined to the Holy Spirit, but our soul (mind, will, heart) is not in submission to our spirits as it should be. Our bodies are also in rebellion. We need to bring our soul into that salvation that Jesus purchased for us when He died the most terrible death on the cross for our sakes and bore the indignation of all our sins.
