Message Control By Ad Hominem Attacks

Ad Hominem Attacks are attacks against the person.  They are attacks designed to avoid looking at the facts.  They seek to look at the person.  I received one of these from an evolutionist stating that no one with intelligence will believe anything on this web site.

  • Attacks against the person
  • All reasonable people disagree with you
  • Any reputable scholar won’t accept this
  • Name-calling
  • Epithets
  • Mean-spirited personal attacks
  • Anything to divert attention away from the viewpoint
  • Ad Hominem attacks are a sign of desperation.
  • Examples:
    • The Clinton attack system aimed against Paula White
    • Attacks by evolutionists or global warming backers
    • Attacks against those who spread Gospel through the centuries
