God Speaks Through the Bible

God does speak through His Word, through His Bible. God wrote the Bible and speaks to us through the Bible. If a person tries to read the Bible and leans on his or her own understanding, that person is being double-minded and will not receive any revelation from the Lord. If a person continues to seek the face of God, that person will receive revelation of the Scripture, but that person must realize that no part of Scripture is on any private interpretation. The natural mind of man can greatly twist Scripture. Most twisting of Scripture is done by sincere Chistians. When we think we know anything, we don't know as we ought to know.
When a person receives revelation from God, this is not circular reasoning. It is not unreasonable. It is logical and rational to receive revelation from God. When a scoffer claims that it is irrational to believe that God is revealing, the scoffer is, in fact, being irrational. The scoffer is irrational and the logical error that the scoffer is making is known as the fallacy of the universal negative. When a person receives revelation from God through the Scripture, that revelation will always be exactly what the Scripture says. The person receiving the revelation will be aware of God's presence. The Holy Spirit may bring other related Scripture to mind, lessons from nature to mind, or teachings from other Christians to mind as they related to what God is revealing. Suddenly, something becomes very clear. The veil of the sinful fleshly nature is pulled away for a moment and spiritual vision and hearing are improved. The Bible tells us that it is the Word of God and without error. When God speaks to us through this part of the Word and we believe it, this is not circular reasoning. (some caveats about hearing God's Voice) Here is some circular reasoning: Is there a God? Yes. That is circular reasoning. This is not circular reasoning:
This is not circular reasoning:
It would be equally valid to say that He revealed it to you using the Bible, my conscience, a still small voice, prophecy in several Church services, a word of wisdom, a word of knowledge, a dream, a vision, and creation if that is the case. It is no more circular to say that God showed you something using the Bible than it is to say that a professor showed you something using a textbook. Of course, the scoffer can always say that he or she doesn't believe you, and that is no surprise that a scoffer would scoff. The real point is that you don't believe them. You believe God instead of them. It is not your job to convince them of God. Your job is to tell the scoffer of your experience. Their job is to believe. If they fail to believe what God has told you and you have told them the truth by the Spirit of God, then they are not refusing to believe you. They are refusing to believe God. You see, when you speak by the Spirit of God, it is God speaking through you. It is not you who is speaking. You are nothing. You are just the instrument that God is using at the moment. If the scoffer claims to know that you have not heard from God, however, then that scoffer is being irrational. They are claiming to know your inner thoughts and spiritual experiences. That is actually an insane thing to do. It is irrational. When any person reads the Bible, God speaks to them through the Bible. The Bible is not a god, but the true God does speak to every person who reads the Bible. The problem is that so many people who read the Bible are blinded by their own theologies so that they cannot see what is written, nor can they hear God's voice. More Scripture through which God says that He speaks to us and leads us.
