God speaks through His people.  God is not dependent on raw human reasoning (the reasoning of the human mind without the Intelligence of the Creator flowing through the human mind) to figure out Scripture and speak His Word.  God speaks through His Scriptures.  He speaks through dreams, visions, prophecy, and many songs.  He speaks in a quiet voice in our innermost minds.  He tells us, for instance, that His Scriptures are true and without error.  He can give us a check in our inner person without words, and we know what is wrong and what to do about it.  He says, "My sheep hear My Voice."  Some Christians have been so trained in Naturalism that they don't even realize what is happening when they hear His Voice, even though they do hear Him and follow Him.  God speaks through His creation.  God speaks through other Christians.  However, God never contradicts Himself.  If we think that one verse of Scripture is in conflict with another, our own corrupt minds have gotten into the mix, adding to or taking from God's Utterance.  If we think that the things that God is telling us through His creation are in conflict with the things that He is telling us through Scripture, we are adding to or taking from God's Utterance from the Scripture or creation or both. "People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it." ~ George Bernard Shaw, who eventually lost his make-believe faith in Athiesm. People who say that Jesus Christ doesn’t reveal Himself and His will to His people should not interrupt those who are learning to hear His Voice and learning to respond to His Voice.

The Almighty Creator God Who created you so He could have a relationship with you speaks to you. Is there any reason that this should this be surprising to anyone? We have trouble hearing God's Voice and discerning between our own wills and His righteous will. Is there any reason that this fact should this surprise anyone?

1 Corinthians 12:2-3 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb [incapable of articulate speech] idols, even as ye were led.  Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

No person can say that another Christian is accursed by the Spirit of God, either, because of the Christ in that Christian.  They would be calling Jesus accursed.  A brother or sister may be in error or in sin or in confusion, but they are not accursed.

If a the attention and glory is going to a person, that is not by the Spirit of God.  Some denominations give so much glory to a saint who has passed to the other side of glory that the honor of that saint may be in competition with the glory given to the living Christ.  At the same time, can watch people singing that they are giving all the glory to Jesus or loudly proclaiming that they are giving all glory to God and yet their whole production and show gives them the glory.  They are themselves the center of all attention.  This is not by the Spirit of God.  Even the Holy Spirit never speaks of Himself.

When God speaks, He doesn't always use words: "And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known to him in a vision, and will speak to him in a dream. My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.  With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?"  Numbers 12:6-8

Some may say, "Well that was for then, but now that doesn't happen any more.  Such a statement is either revelation or speculation.  If they are claiming revelation, then they are claiming to be the only one who can receive revelation at the same time they are claiming that revelation is impossible.  That is not rational.  If they are claiming speculation, then their thoughts are as valid as anyone who pulls information from the air.  In other words, they are telling you not to beleive them.

 When any person reads the Bible, God speak to them through the Bible.  The Bible is not a god, but the true God does speak to every person who reads the Bible.  The problem is that so many people who read the Bible are blinded by their own theologies so that they cannot see what is written, nor can they hear God's voice.

For those who have actually stood in the presence of God seeking His face, we know that God speaks.  God directs.  He mainly speaks through the Body of Christ in the present.  We know that no person can so much as sincerely say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Ghost speaking through the person.  God has restored prophecy to the Church.  He has restored the word of knowledge and the word of wisdom.  He has restored the office of the apostle and the ministry of the prophet.  God speaks through all of these with great authority and accuracy.

There are false prophets and false apostles and false gifts, but the false does not make the true any less true.  It is possible to discern the real from the false.  God has promised that if we seek HIM, we will find Him.  Whoever has a willing heart will find the real and the genuine and will not be deceived by the false.

 God does not show visions to every person.  He doesn't seem to always give visions to anyone.  He does, however, give visions.  And He speaks through dreams.  He speaks through a still small voice.  God speaks through His creation.  The Bible and experience show that to be true.
