The following is an instruction that was given for a special time of prayer and fasting:Dear Brothers and Sisters, As we seek God throughout this special time of prayer and fasting, let us believe that His strength will be made perfect in our weakness. We have recently seen what united prayer can do, as we stood together throughout Bro. Crafton's trial, and I'm sure God will move in each of our hearts and in the earth as we earnestly seek Him. I just felt I should share these two little choruses that came to me the last couple days. May they encourage you while you wait on the Lord. If you hunger, you will be fed If you're thirsty, you will find water Seek the Lord, He'll fill you till you overflow Drawing from the well everlasting Bread of Life, there for the asking For He always satisfies the hungry soul There is a higher call, a deeper way The path of holiness, Christ bids me take Where self is crucified, Christ is enthroned Where my will is denied, and He reigns alone God Bless, Cyndi Aarrestad Park Valley, SK
How can we know anything about anything? That’s the real question Topic: PrayerI have a question about James chapter 5 verses 13 and 14. In verse 13 we are told that if we are afflicted to pray and if we are merry to sing psalms. However, in verse 14, instead of praying for ourselves when we are sick, we are told to call on the elders. In 13 we do the praying and rejoicing ourselves, but not in 14. Why does it... |
