Total Fulfillment, The Final Victory |
Everything mentioned so far is for the purpose of that final victory. God has chosen that we would go from glory to glory (2 Corinthians 3:18) until we all come into the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect (totally complete) man (singular) to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. There is a remnant company within the Church, a company that sees the vision of what God is doing. These are those who are pressing in with all their hearts. They are seeking God with all their might. There is a glory that will be revealed in those who follow Jesus this way (Romans 8:18). The whole creation is waiting for the veil of the flesh to be removed from the sons of God (Romans 8:16-19). And we are also waiting for the redemption of our bodies (Romans 8:18-23). For those whom God has called, we know that God is arranging all of creation to perform His good purpose. God's good purpose is that these who would follow Him would be conformed to His same image (Romans 8:28-29). The Kingdom of God will be established. (Isaiah 2:2-4, Micah 4:1-5, Philippians 2:10-11, Daniel 2-41-45) This is the final culmination. It will change the entire earth. In fact, this freedom will be experienced by more than just humanity. The entire creation is waiting to be set free from the bondage of decay. The church will have a great part in setting creation free from its bondage and corruption. (Ephesians 3:10-11) If we follow in the way that the Holy Spirit leads, God will bring us into ever-increasing order. We will come into oneness with God's own mind. As we come into unity with God's mind, we will also come into unity with each other. The Spirit of Christ will lead us to holiness and to become set apart. The Greek word for church, Ekklesia, literally means "called out or summoned, assembled with a purpose." And the disorders in Jesus' church will fall away, disorders that have been introduced by human ideas. These human-generated disorders will be replaced by the orders of God, which are the orders of Scripture. Then, we will find that, just as the Bible says, the church is the very method by which we come into complete fulfillment and that the total fulfillment consists of the church coming into such unity that the entire church moves as one man. And it moves to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
