First, let it be known that no amount of human effort will ever fulfill the purpose for your life.

God created you for a purpose.  It is a good purpose.  He never created anyone to operate as a being who is separate from Him.  He created you to be joined to Him in a wonderful way.  God is Love.  That doesn't make God less, but it does show that most people don't know what Love is.   God made you to be joined to Love, which God is.

The Scripture says this about God's purpose.

Romans 8:28-29 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

God's purpose for our lives is that we become like Jesus.  We could never do that on our own, so God is working everything in the universe to bring about that good result--His Good Purpose!  In fact, we can't even help.  We can only receive it.  What we are receiving is a restoration of our relationship with God through the blood of Christ on the cross--which is God's gift to us.  As we abide in the presence of God, we are changed from glory to glory.

We must be born into this experience.  That is reality.  Once born again, we must grow into the fullness of the experience.  This is the message of the Bible.
